Stanley Kubrick´s dark social criticism as a special edition with many new extras: Kubrick turned Anthony Burgess´ famous novel into a brutal and satirical morality play, the focus of which is Alex, who fights, robs, rapes and murders like a ruthless predator. Alex is arrested and locked up. He is subjected to a cruel procedure that is supposed to make him socially acceptable again; functioning like a clockwork orange, healthy and intact on the outside, but crippled on the inside and limited to reflexes that he can no longer control himself. But what can society do for Alex - or do to him - after his treatment leaves him unable to defend himself and the vengeance of his victims.
